Romanian Minister of Energy’s welcome message for 16+1 counterparts

„16+1 Energy Fair and Conferences will bring added value to the China – CEECs cooperation” The Romanian Ministry of Energy will organize the first edition of 16+1 Energy Ministers Meeting, followed by the first 16+1 Energy Fair and Conferences, which will take place between the 8th and the 10th of November in Bucharest, Romania, Toma Petcu, the Romanian Minister of Energy, announced his homologues from China and Central Europe countries, in a letter.

”I am honored to extend to you the invitation to these international events that will bring added value to the China – Central and Eastern Europe countries cooperation format and strengthen regional and bilateral cooperation in the field of energy. The reunion of the Ministers will officially open the Energy Fair and Conferences, which will carry on until November 10th”, Minister Toma Petcu noted.

The Romanian Minister of Energy also invited his counterparts to encourage energy companies in their countries to participate in 16+ 1 Energy Fair.

”The event will enjoy ample participation from the Chinese and Romanian side, with vested interest in increasing the cooperation in the agreed priority domains: renewable energy sources, smart grids, oil and gas, energy efficiency, clean coal, and nuclear energy”, Toma Petcu concluded.

The first international exhibition dedicated to the Central and Eastern Europe and Chinese energy industry is organized by the Center for Dialogue and Cooperation in Energy Projects, Romania’s initiative in the 16+ 1 cooperation format, launched in 2016. Over the course of 3 days, exhibitors, policymakers and business leaders will participate in a state-of-the-art showcase of products and energy technology solutions, policy roundtables and 828 workshops hosted in Willbrook Platinum Business and Convention Center in Bucharest, Romania.

17 Energy Ministers are expected to join high-ranking officials from China, the CEE region and the European Union institutions in order to convey a strong message of support for the overall cooperation in the energy field between countries in Central and Eastern Europe and China.
